A story element that exists or existed in Real Life but is assumed to be fictional by the audience, often because it seems too unlikely, bizarre, or kitschy to be real. Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction...

The Juicy-Apple TV (or Apple TV prior to New Horizons), which a literal TV shaped like an apple, may seem like a joke on the more well-known Apple TV. However, not only was this TV available in the Manga long before Apple produced theirs, but one Chinese company called Hannspree has been making apple-shaped TVs since the early 2000s. These novelty TVs were still being made as late as 2018.

While Tatsu's Technicolor Lightning seems exotic, it's actually based on a real meteorological phenomenon where large-scale electrical discharges go off in the sky, often in colors like red, forming ethereal "sprites" of plasma. This phenomenon is also the source of the name of Tatsu ship's and the title of the story, "Red Sprite".

At one point Shin Youngwoo is rushing in to rescue his little sister who is being sexually harassed by four college students who insist on a "date" with her and her female friend and refuse to take "no" for an answer, with Shin even having the Korean number for 911 on his phone, ready to go if the louts don't back off, until the phone battery decides to just die on him. The thugs then decide to try to beat him up "for stealing all the pretty women." As he's fighting, Shin starts putting into practice the martial arts he was being taught in the game, and it worked. While this may seem silly to some readers, research on Virtual Learning shows that this is indeed plausible with some noted early successes.
