Anime where the OP and/or ED stick in your head literally forever.

Most (if not all) of these songs are in at least one of my playlists, and they should be in yours too!

Not including the ultimate classics (EG Tokyo Ghoul and the first Attack on Titan OP) because literally everyone knows about those already.

Ranked from most popular to least popular.
Jujutsu Kaisen
TV, 2020, 24 eps Me:- Author:9
EVE!!! EVE!!!!
It makes me sound like a normie, but this show introduced me to what is now one of my absolute favorite music artists of all time. While Eve's opening for this show is certainly the best piece of music among the OPs and EDs (and the OP for it is also absolutely fantastic) the others are all also stunning. Each of them is just god-tier. I have a playlist dedicated solely to JJK OPs and EDs.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
TV, 2014, 22 eps Me:- Author:7
It's been literal years since I last watched or seriously thought about this show (just because I haven't watched it in so long) but the first OP – Goose house's "Hikaru Nara" – is still a mainstay in many of my playlists. It's such a wonderful song and the OP that accompanies it is also so gorgeous to behold. I could sing most of the song from memory if I really tried.
Noragami
TV, 2014, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
The OPs for both seasons – Hello Sleepwalkers' "Goya no Machiawase" and The Oral Cigarettes' "Kyouran Hey Kids" – are absolute fucking BANGERS. Like head bang along to them every single time they come on. I think these two songs are a big reason that Noragami stuck in my memory so hard when I was younger. The visuals are also fantastic in both OPs. Just amazing all around.

The EDs are also nice, but no where near as memorable as the OPs.
Boku dake ga Inai Machi
TV, 2016, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
I still have the OP from this show stuck in my head. The moment I thought about it again it came back in full force. Asian Kung Fu Generation has a knack for making the most catchy songs of all time and then A1 Pictures made near perfect visuals to match it. The whole OP is just a visual feast and I love it. Honestly, I probably like it more than I like the show.
Yakusoku no Neverland
TV, 2019, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
Just read the manga. But, while you read the manga, make sure that you're listening to UVERworld's "Touch Off." This song so perfectly captures the feelings of chaos and tension that the show is going for that it's an absolute must listen. The visuals are strong as well, but the song does most of the carrying. UVERworld has a trend of making songs that are better than the show they're in.

(Note: This season is really strong. I'm just still bitter about season 2)
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu
TV, 2014, 24 eps Me:- Author:8
For some reason I seem to be in the minority on this one, but I've been a fan of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas since I first heard the first ED to Hunter x Hunter (2011) all the way back in 2016 (When I was watching it for the first time). I think their vibe fits Parasyte perfectly, and have made every attempt to sing along since. It never goes well for my vocal chords, but at least I can head bang to it.
Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai
TV, 2018, 13 eps Me:- Author:6
I am obsessed with The Peggies and literally all of their music. I hear them start singing and I am instantly hooked. I'm not even kidding when I say this OP is what got me to actually start watching the show. It started playing when I hovered over the show on Netflix and I instantly had to see more. The beat is quick and addicting and the whole song just has so much energy. A true bop.
Enen no Shouboutai
TV, 2019, 24 eps Me:- Author:1
I cannot fully put into words just how much I utterly despise this anime. It's not for a fully rational reason, but mostly I just cannot stand the way it's directed. Nothing angers me more than wasted potential, and that's all I can get from this show. HOWEVER, the first OP – Mrs. Green Apple's "Inferno" – is one area that this show absolutely DID NOT DROP THE BALL ON. God that OP is so fantastic that I watch it periodically just to remember how much I loved it. I can't help but sing along every time I hear it. Don't watch the show. Definitely watch the OP.
The first ED is a pretty awesome too, but it never hit me as hard. What was going on with this show, huh?
Chainsaw Man
TV, 2022, 12 eps Me:- Author:10
I don't even have to say anything about this one, really. I have a playlist solely made up of every single ED plus the OP that I listen to at least once a day. I am obsessed with this show and its music is no exception. My friend and I often randomly start singing Kick Back when it gets stuck in one of our heads. We can both sing it from memory now. Everything about this show is fucking perfect and the music is no exception.
Kanojo, Okarishimasu
TV, 2020, 12 eps Me:- Author:4
The Peggies strike again. The OP is just super fun, electric, and almost infectious! The show itself is another matter, but I listen to the OP often enough that it deserves its place on this list. Anything by The Peggies will hook me pretty fast, though. They're on this list three damn times!
Kekkai Sensen
TV, 2015, 12 eps Me:- Author:9
Both seasons, both OP and ED. All of them are so goddamn fantastic that I could talk absolutely forever about them, but mostly this show is remembered for its stellar first ED. Unison Square Garden's "Sugar Song and Bitter Step". Has any anime ED been parodied and copied into more fandoms than this one? I'm too scared to find out, honestly. This song has been my alarm since I was 14 years old and I'm not planning on changing it anytime soon.
Fumetsu no Anata e
TV, 2021, 20 eps Me:- Author:7
Pink Blood is such an amazing song that they just couldn't bring themselves to change it even ACROSS SEASONS. I don't think I've ever seen an anime with two distinct seasons use the same OP in both of them, but they knew that they couldn't replace Pink Blood with something better. They knew it just wasn't possible. So they didn't bother. The song fits the vibe of the show so well, it's perfect. I love it.
Kiznaiver
TV, 2016, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
The OP to this show is such a banger that it's stayed in my memory long after I forgot... most of the plot details of this show. I still listen to it pretty often, and usually end up singing along. Unfortunately I don't remember any other music from this show, but that OP is an absolute banger.
Ousama Ranking
TV, 2021, 23 eps Me:- Author:-
Again, it makes me sound like a normie, but this show got me really into King Gnu's music and I realized just how many shows they've made music for that I absolutely love. The first OP from this show – "Boy" – fits every single thing about it and just really grips you. The other songs, not as much, but they are still fun listens.

TV, 2021, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
It might just be because of how long and intense my obsession with this show was, but I've been obsessively listening to both the ED and the OP ever since I first watched it. Rude-A's "Paradise" is a banger, and the visuals going with it perfectly compliment the vibe that the song is going for. And Yuuri's "Infinity" is the perfect way to come out of an episode of this show, with its chill vibes, adorable visuals, and fun colors. God, I love this show.
Zombieland Saga
TV, 2018, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Not even just the OP and ED, I have a playlist of every single song that Franchouchou sings throughout the entire show! Because every single one is a banger and they're always super fun to listen to. The voice actors are giving their all to these dumbass songs and it's a joy to listen to. The OP especially is just super fun! The visuals to go with it are stellar, as well.
Blue Period
TV, 2021, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
Another example of an OP that I like more than the show. Honestly, I wanted to watch this show because I heard that the manga was good, and the OP is what kept me going through the parts that I found pretty boring and hard to watch. The song is so gorgeous that I am almost brought to tears every time it comes on, and the visuals are so wonderful. I want to watch the show that matches the wonder of this OP.
Bocchi the Rock!
TV, 2022, 12 eps Me:- Author:9
Same as with Zombieland Saga, I have a playlist of just Kessoku Band's music because literally all of it slaps. The OP, ED, every song in between. They're all amazing. I got a friend of mine to start listening to their music without even watching the show and now she's obsessed with them. She still hasn't seen the show. That's how good the music is!
Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!
TV, 2020, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Easy Breezy! The visuals for this OP are so fun and they perfectly match the song. The OP also perfectly goes with the vibe of the show itself, and it's all just pure perfection. This OP has been stuck in my head for years and I don't think it's leaving anytime soon.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen - Zetsubou-hen
TV, 2016, 11 eps Me:- Author:4
This show isn't very good, to be honest. The OP, though? Fucking STELLAR. Stunning. The OP so perfectly captures the vibe that this show SHOULD have that it's almost frustrating. I love the song. I love the visuals. I love the use of color and how it changes as the show goes on to indicate how crazy things are getting. I love how the OP just summarizes the story of the season. You don't need to watch the show. Just watch the OP. It's better anyway.
Shiguang Dailiren
ONA, 2021, 11 eps Me:- Author:8
I actually memorized the OP to this show so I could sing it to my parents and annoy them. It's goddamn amazing. The hand motions in the animation are insanely impressive, and the song is both fitting and catchy as hell. The ED is not as amazing in my opinion, but still an absolute banger.
Kokkoku
TV, 2018, 12 eps Me:- Author:4
Again, the OP is better than the show itself. Like, goddamn, I wanna watch the show that the OP is promising me. It's not the show that I actually watched, that's for sure. The visuals are insane and twisted and the music compliments that perfectly. Don't bother with this show, but watch the OP (and add the song to your playlist) at least 10 times.
Sarazanmai
TV, 2019, 11 eps Me:- Author:9
THE PEGGIES!!!! This is the last time they're on this list, I promise, but THE PEGGIES just make banger after banger after banger. This time they're responsible for the ED and they made a goddamn gorgeous song, complimented by some of the most unique visuals I've ever seen. Taking real videos and placing the characters into it with this fantastic music blasting over it. God, it's so amazing.
The OP is also good, but not as good.
Bishounen Tanteidan
TV, 2021, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
The OP is so goddamn amazing that I think more people know it than know the actual show. It's genuinely fantastic. I used to play it for the little kids I would babysit and even they would sing and dance along to it, despite not knowing a word of Japanese. The visuals that go along with it are also so bright, fun, and wonderful. I adore OPs and EDs that show the characters interacting with the song, and this scratches that itch for me. Their little dances are so cute!
Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu
TV, 2021, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
Fukuyama Jun out here single-handedly carrying all of this show's music. He made the OPs for both seasons and both of them are absolute bangers. The music is top tier and the visuals, while a little lacking, mostly fit the vibe of the music really well. The EDs are also fun, but not nearly as memorable.
High Card
TV, 2023, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
The ED for this show instantly suckered me. Like I said, I'm a sucker for EDs and OPs where the characters interact with the music, so a whole ED of just the cast singing along to the ED song while driving really endeared me to the whole show. Plus it's a Meychan song! I love Meychan!
The OP is also an absolute BANGER. The music is amazing – I was shocked by how smooth the transitions between English and Japanese are in this song – and the visuals are so SMOOTH it's a wonder to behold. Like goddamn the staff on this went all out with the OP and ED.
