Could you tell me where did you read "Hajimaranai futari" by Fujiwara Haru?If it is possible for you. I really loved her "The Fishes that Swin At Night" one-shot,almost teared up while reading it, especially towards the end.

Again, it's my review with how I feel. If you want to understand why I have that view, I'm more than happy to try and explain. If you're here to just say "I don't agree so that makes you wrong" please leave. You talk about me needing "to understand it better" while refusing to even begin to understand my perspective! Lmao 😭 who wouldn't be less than amicable when someone just comes to harass you over a perspective difference!

Look, I'm not responding much after this. I took points off of it because if I'm reading a manga with one of the four tags of "for women, for young girls, for men and for young boys" I am going to expect them to be targeted towards those groups. I would 100% say banana fish is NOT a shoujo by subject matter alone because hell no would I be showing anyone under the age of 17 that whole-heartedly. I posted my review, I said what I said and if you don't understand it the confusing reaction is right there - if people are genuinely curious to know why I'm more than happy to explain why I did stuff and if you still don't get it, baller, we just have different perspectives. However, undermining my review because you don't get it just seems a bit rude?

Shoujo is meant to appeal to young girls. This manga does not.

Shounen is meant to appeal to young boys. This manga does seem more inclinded to a male audience.

Shoujo tends to have a good balance of men to women. This manga does not have that.

If manga is meant to appeal to young girls, having a cast of only boys with any form of real autonomy is terrible and isn't on the same degree as having a main character of a shoujo adventure being a boy. It's not something that feels targeted to young girls and feels only labelled "shoujo" because of where it was originally published.

I am aware of that yeah. Just using Shounen in the sense that a lot of people use it where it’s not the demographic but more the type of show and the elements they have. Although I should be more clear about that, thanks.
