I agree! ChenQing Ling was my first Chinese drama so things were a little cheesy at first with the effects and powers stuff but the actors made it all work.
Yeah the character songs are really good too.

Btw, have you watched the two spin-off movies of the live-action?? Fatal Journey, which focuses on the Nie Brothers specifically on the time period when Wei Wuxian was dead, And The Living Dead which is post canon of the events which focuses on what Sizhui and Wen Ning were doing when they separated from Wwx and Lwj??

After finishing AND LOVING 'Who Made me A Princess' I decided to look at the similar manga/mahwa and imagine my happy surprise when I found your review on 'The Abandoned Empress', I just started reading it, and if you like it, I know I'm for sure to enjoy it based on your past recommendations!!!!!

YES!!! I'm so in love with many video games. And KH I LOVEEEEE but it is hard to get into as it's a little confusing, but glad you appreciate the soundtrack, Dearly Beloved is one of my all-time favourites.
