Corey Feldman has nothing but love for rocker Billy Corgan. But he doesn't have as many memories of him as the Smashing Pumpkins frontman does of the Goonies star.

Feldman was a guest on Corgan's The Magnificent Others With Billy Corgan podcast on Wednesday, and they had an awkward but not unpleasant interaction at the start after Corgan told Feldman that it was nice to see him again.

"Good to see you again although we've only met once," Feldman responded.

Corgan responded, "Not true."

Feldman wasn't convinced, and he asked Corgan to remind him of the second time.

"No, we've met probably 10 or 12 times," Corgan said.

Oops. But the conversation was saved when they realized they shared a mutual admiration.

"What you probably don't remember," Corgan said, "is at different times we would come across each other just in passing, and we always would talk for a minute to five minutes, but we always had these nice exchanges. And I always walked away impressed with you as a person outside of what people think. You know, because when you're a child star, and people have their opinions and stuff like that. My interactions with you have always been great. I always found you very nice, found you funny, charming, all those things."

Feldman said he would say the same.

"Because I've had those personal interactions with you, whether they were two or 12, it doesn't matter," Corgan continued. "My vibe on you has always been very positive. So when I've seen you go through different variations of public whatever — and I've had my own versions, too, so I'm maybe more sympathetic or empathetic than most people are, to know what that feels like when people are kind of coming at you from different angles — I always think, 'That's not the guy I know.'"

Both Feldman and Corgan have been in the spotlight for decades. Feldman began acting as a child in the late '70s on TV shows such as Eight Is Enough, Alice, and Mork and Mindy, before venturing into films such as Stand by Me and Gremlins. He famously teamed up with the late Corey Haim on teen movies such as License to Drive and The Lost Boys.

Corgan, meanwhile, hit it big with his rock band's 1993 album Siamese Dream, so there were plenty of Hollywood parties where they could have interacted.
