Mike Hill (Florida)
Mike Hill (Republican Party) was a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 1. He assumed office on November 6, 2018. He left office on November 3, 2020.
Hill (Republican Party) ran for election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 1. He lost in the Republican primary on August 23, 2022.
Hill also represented Florida House of Representatives District 2 from June 11, 2013, to 2016. Hill did not seek re-election to the Florida House of Representatives in 2016. Instead, Hill was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 1 of the Florida State Senate. He was defeated in the Republican primary by Doug Broxson.
Hill was the President of the Northwest Florida Tea Party from 2010 to 2013.[1]
Biography
Hill earned his B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy. His professional experience includes owning a small insurance business. He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years.[1]

Elections for the Florida House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Jeremy Lau was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Mike Hill was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hill defeated Lau in the general election.[6][7]

Hill won election in a special election for Florida House of Representatives District 2. The seat was vacant following Clay Ford's (R) death on March 18. Hill defeated Ed Gray III, Scott Miller, Jack Nobles, David Radcliffe and Mark Taylor in the May 14 Republican primary, and defeated Jeremy Lau (D) in the general election, which took place on June 11, 2013.[8][9][10][11][12][13]
