The Minnesota Petroleum Excise Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 2, 1948 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have provided for a 50-50 apportionment of an excise tax on petroleum products between the Trunk Highway Fund and the Bridge Fund.
