Two Malta Township & Village Fire Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the village and township of Malta which are in Morgan County.

Both measures were approved

The Malta village measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.15 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the village.

Malta Township Measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Malta Township for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION at a rate not exceeding one and five-tenths (1.5) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to fifteen cents ($0.15) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3]
