The Maryland Remove Exemption from Income Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 5, 1940 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure removed an exemption of the salaries of judges and public officials from an income tax.[1][2]
