The Montana Use of Highway Taxes Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 6, 1956 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure set guidelines for the use of revenues from gasoline, motor fuel and licensing taxes as well as motor vehicle registration fees.[1][2]
