Linda Menard
Linda Menard is a former Republican member of the Alaska State Senate, representing District G from 2009 to 2013.
Menard was a member of the Mat-Su Borough School Board from 1996-2007.
Biography
Menard earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska in 1975.

Menard ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Alaska State Senate District 4 (D). She was defeated by Mike Dunleavy in the August 28 Republican primary.[1][2]

In 2008, Menard won election to the Alaska State Senate, District G. Menard finished with 15,854 votes (79.94%) beating out Erick Cordero who finished with 3,796 votes (19.14%).[3] Menard raised $64,160 for her campaign fund.[4]

Menard was born in Cheboygan, Michigan. She is widowed and has four children. One of her children, Steve Menard, served on the city council of Wasilla, Alaska, before being recalled by voters in February 2012.[5]
