A Lake Oswego City Boones Ferry Road Bond measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Multnomah and Clackamas counties, which are in Oregon, where it was defeated.

If approved, this measure would have authorized Lake Oswego City to issue up to $5 million in general obligation bonds to proved funding for some of the design, right of way acquisition and construction for Boones Ferry Road Improvements from Madrona to Oakridge/Resso, consistent with the 2008 Lake Grove Village Center Plan. The plan would include:

• 4 lanes
• landscaped medians and turn lane improvements
• sidewalks with trees, lighting, street furniture and landscaping
• improved crosswalks
• bike lanes
• underground utilities and improved drainage

“

Shall the City of Lake Oswego issue general obligation bonds not to exceed $5 million for Boones Ferry Road Improvements? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the oregon Constitution.

”
