Biography
Kimberly Daniels was born and lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Daniels served in the U.S. Army. She earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from Florida State University and a master's degree in Christian education and doctorate in Christian counseling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. Daniels' career experience includes working as an author and international speaker.[1][2]

The city of Jacksonville, Florida, held elections for mayor and city council on May 19, 2015. A primary took place on March 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 16, 2015. All 19 city council seats were up for election.[7]
In the primary election for the at-large group 1 seat, incumbent Kimberly Daniels (D) and Anna Lopez Brosche (R) advanced past Terry Reed (D) and David A. Taylor (R).[8] Daniels faced Lopez Brosche in the general election on May 19, 2015. Lopez Brosche was the winner.[9][10]
