An effort to recall Jeff Crockett from his position as mayor of Harrison, Arkansas, was launched in February 2012 and abandoned in August 2012.[1][2]

Reasons for recall

Rick Schoenberger was a leader of the recall effort. Recall supporters said the mayor didn't listen to their concerns and that his connections outside of city hall made people afraid to question him. The mayor said he is doing what he promised to do, including getting a measure on the ballot that ended the Boone County liquor ban.[1]

Path to the ballot

Recall organizers needed to collect 2,000 signatures to get a recall question on the November 2012 ballot.[1] In August 2012, Schoenberger announced that recall organizers had not collected sufficient signatures to move forward with a recall election.[2]
