Jon Hansen (Republican Party) is a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 25. He assumed office on January 8, 2019. His current term ends on January 12, 2027.
Hansen (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the South Dakota House of Representatives to represent District 25. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Hansen began serving as House speaker on January 15, 2025.[1]
Biography
Hansen earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He has used his education to work in the field of customer service. He stepped down from his elected House position to attend law school at the University of South Dakota.

Hansen won re-election in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 25. Hansen ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5 and won re-election in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
2010
Hansen defeated incumbent Oran Sorenson (D) and Dennis Van Overschelde (D) in the November 2 general election. Hansen was elected along with fellow Republican challenger Stace Nelson.[3]
