Glen Robertson is the former mayor of Lubbock, Texas. He served from 2012 to 2016. Before becoming mayor, Robertson was an alderman on the Ransom Canyon City Council from 2002 to 2005.[1]

Robertson was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 19th Congressional District of Texas.[2] He was defeated by Jodey Arrington in the primary runoff on May 24, 2016.[3]

Robertson was born in Lubbock, Texas. His professional experience includes owning several small businesses and serving on the boards of the City of Lubbock Zoning Board of Adjustments and the City of Lubbock Electric Utility Board.[1]

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Jodey Arrington (R) defeated Mark Lawson (G) and Troy Bonar (L) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Arrington defeated Glen Robertson in the Republican primary runoff election on May 24, 2016. Robertson and Arrington defeated Greg Garrett, Donald May, DeRenda Warren, Don Parrish, Jason Corley, John Key and Michael Bob Starr in the Republican primary on March 1, 2016, to advance to the runoff election. No Democratic candidates filed to run in the race. Incumbent Randy Neugebauer did not seek re-election.[4][5][3]
