George Scott was the District 1 representative on the Katy Independent School District board of trustees in Texas from 2016 to 2019. He won the seat in the general election that was held on May 7, 2016. He did not run for re-election in 2019.

Two of the seven seats on the Katy Independent School District board of trustees were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. In the Position 1 race incumbent Joe Adams lost his seat to challenger George Scott. William Lacy withdrew from the race before the general election.
