Five nominated by Obama for District Courts

Washington, D.C.: Yesterday, President Barack Obama nominated five individuals to serve on four U.S. District Courts. Of the nominations, Obama said, "These individuals have demonstrated a commitment to justice throughout their careers. I am confident they will serve the American people with distinction from the United States District Court.”[1]

All federal courts nominees must first be approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee and then confirmed by the Senate.
