An Evergreen Township Road Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Evergreen, which is in Sanilac County.

This measure sought to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $2 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for road maintenance and construction costs in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Evergreen Township, of 2 mills ($2 per $1,000 of taxable value), be renewed at 2 mills ($2 per $1,000 of taxable value) and levied for 4 years, 2012 through 2015 inclusive, for road construction and road maintenance, raising an estimated $60,608.00 in the first year the millage is levied?[1][2]
