David H. Dilly was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 72 of the Ohio House of Representatives.

Dilly serves as White Eyes Township Fiscal Officer, a position he was first elected to in 2000. He also serves as Coshocton County Recorder.[1]

Dilly is a graduate of Zane State College(formerly Mushingum Area Technical College M.A.T.C.) Area, where he studied Automotive, Accounting and Business Management. He also attended Central Ohio Technical College.[1]

Dilly has worked as a career Counselor, job trainer, County Veterans Service Officer, coal miner, mechanic, and served in the US Air Force.[1]

He is affiliated with the following organizations: Coshocton County Vietnam Veterans, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), American Legion, Vetrans of Foreign Wars (VFW), AMVETS, Eagles, Moose, Masons, Grange, Scottish Rite, Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard, American Red Cross (Blood Donor).[1]

Dilly ran in the 2012 election for Ohio House, District 72. Dilly was unopposed in the March 6 Democratic primary election and was defeated by District 91 incumbent Bill Hayes (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]

During the 2012 election, Dilly stated, "As a working class Ohioan, Vietnam Veteran, Township and County official I have the experience and knowledge that is needed to convey the voices of the people in the 72nd District Ohio House State Representative."[1]
