David Dutremble
David Dutremble is a former Democratic member of the Maine State Senate, representing District 32 from 2012 to January 28, 2016. He resigned to focus on his battle with alcoholism.[1]

In a Portland Press Herald questionnaire, Dutremble explained what he sought to accomplish upon winning office:
"I want to keep Maine an affordable place to live by controlling excessive spending. I want to learn and grow in Augusta and will work with whomever I need to ... Democrats, Republicans or Independents. I have no agenda on my part other then to do what is right for the people of District 4 and Maine."[2]

The signature filing deadline for party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 17, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the primary election was April 28, 2014, and the deadline for non-party candidates to run in the general election was June 2, 2014. District 4 incumbent David Dutremble was unopposed in the Democratic primary. James Booth was unopposed in the Republican primary. Dutremble defeated Booth in the general election.[3][4][5][6]

Dutremble won election in the 2012 election for Maine State Senate District 4. He defeated James A. Emerson in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012,[7] and defeated James Booth (I) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[8]
