David Carter (Nevada)
David Carter is a former nonpartisan member of the Nevada State Board of Education, representing District 2. Carter was first elected in 2016. He resigned on July 17, 2019, for personal reasons.[1]
Biography
Carter's career in education began when he was hired as an accountant by the San Bernardino County, California education department. Carter went on to serve as executive director of fiscal services for Capistrano Unified School District in Orange County, California. In 2012, Carter retired and moved to Nevada.[2]

Carter was first elected to the board in November 2016, unseating incumbent Pat Hickey. Carter took office in January 2017. He resigned on July 17, 2019.
