Donna Seidel
Donna Seidel (b. August 6, 1950) is a former Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 85th District from 2005 to 2013. She served as Assistant Minority Leader.
Seidel worked as the Marathon County Clerk of Circuit Court from 1989-2004, and has been an investigator with the District Attorney's Office, and as a police officer.
She is a member of the Marathon County Democratic Party and Wausau Noon Optimists Club, and former member of the Wisconsin Association of Clerks of Circuit Court, The Women's Community, and Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA).[1]

Seidel ran against state Rep. Jerry Petrowski (R) in a recall election that targeted state Sen. Pam Galloway (R). Seidel defeated James Buckley in the Democratic primary on May 8 and lost to Petrowski in the recall on June 5.[2]

Petitions to recall Galloway were turned in on January 17, 2012 to the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board. Following GAB's decision that enough signatures were valid, a recall election was scheduled. Soon after, Galloway resigned her senate seat effective March 17. The recall, however, had to continue and Petrowski stepped in for Republicans.[3]

Seidel was re-elected to Wisconsin State Assembly District 85. She defeated Republican Charles Eno and Libertarian Jim Maas in the general election on November 2, 2010. Seidel was unopposed in the September 14, 2010, primary election.[4]
