Bass is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Temple University. Her professional experience includes community development with Mt. Airy USA Inc. and senior policy advisor on urban and domestic policy to Congressman Chaka Fattah. She was a delegate to Barack Obama at the 2008 and 2012 Democratic National Conventions.[1]
