The Alabama Sheep and Goat Industry Promotion Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 5, 2002, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed that members of the sheep and goat industry could levy a fee upon themselves to support promotion and development of their industry in the state.[1]

The question on the ballot:
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide a means by which members of the sheep and goat industry may organize and by referendum levy upon themselves assessments for the purpose of financing promotional programs for the sheep and goat industry. (Proposed by Act No. 2002-399)[2][3] |
