The Alaska School Construction Bond, also known as Proposition 8, was on the November 2, 1976 ballot in Alaska as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was approved. The measure issued $59.29 million in bonds for the purpose of constructing, repairing, equipping and upgrading school facilities.[1]

“ | Proposition No. 8: Shall the State of Alaska issue its general obligation bonds in the principle amount of not more than $59,290,000 for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing, repairing, equipping and upgrading school facilities?[2] | ” |
