Arkansas 2014 ballot measures
Five statewide ballot measures were certified for the November 4, 2014, ballot in the state of Arkansas. Four were approved, and one was defeated.
The state's 2014 legislative session ran from February 10, 2014, until March 20, 2014. During that time, the legislature sent three legislatively referred constitutional amendments to the ballot.
Two initiatives - one an initiated constitutional amendment and the other an initiated state statute - were certified for the ballot. Three other initiatives failed to submit signatures by the prescribed deadline. Supporters of the initiated state statutes were required to collect at least 62,507 valid signatures by the July 7, 2014, filing deadline, while initiated constitutional amendment supporters had to collect 78,133 valid signatures or more. Following the invalidation of some submitted signatures, supporters of the two remaining initiatives - Issues 4 and 5 - had until August 18, 2014, to submit enough additional signatures to meet the required total. Both campaigns submitted signatures and were ultimately certified for the ballot.
