William Docker Browning (1931-2008) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

Browning was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on April 4, 1984, to a seat vacated by Mary Richey; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 24, 1984, and received commission on May 3, 1984. From 1990-1994, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on May 14, 1998. He served the District of Arizona until his death on February 26, 2008.[1] Browning was succeeded in this position by Raner Collins.
