William P. Mahoney is a judge of the 29th District Court, Division 4 in Kansas. He was elected in the summer of 2010 and took office on October 1, 2010.[1] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expired on January 13, 2019.[2]

Mahoney defeated Rick Rehorn and won the Democratic primary with 57% of the vote. He then ran unopposed and was re-elected to the district court in the general election.[3][4]

Education
Mahoney graduated from the Texas Christian University with his B.A. in 1986. He attended the University of Kansas and earned his J.D. in 1989.[5]
Career
Mahoney was elected to the 29th District Court in August 2010. Prior to that he was in private practice. He has also worked as a JAG Officer in the US Navy from 1989 to 1993 and as an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.[6]
