An effort to recall the West Custer County Hospital District Board in Custer County, Colorado was unofficially mentioned by a resident at a March 2014 board meeting. Resident Paul Sage "requested that the commissioners involve the district court to demand that the Hospital District’s service plan be rewritten and expressed the desire that the Hospital Board be recalled if no change is made. The commissioners did not make the motion to do so." Other residents asserted that Sage is a "rabble-rouser" and said they support the board.[1][2] The effort ultimately did not go to a vote.
