Tim Rollins represents Subdistrict B on the Rockford Public Schools Board of Education in Illinois. He ran unopposed and won re-election in the general election on April 7, 2015.[1][2]

The Rockford Public Schools election featured three of seven board of education seats up for general election on April 7, 2015. The seats from Subdistricts B, D and E were on the ballot. Incumbents Tim Rollins, Jude Makulec and Michael Harner from Subdistricts B, D and E, respectively, ran unopposed and won re-election.

Rockford Public Schools is located in Winnebago County in northern Illinois. The county seat is Rockford. Winnebago County was home to 290,666 residents in 2013, according to the United States Census Bureau.[5] During the 2011-2012 school year, Rockford Public Schools was the fifth-largest school district by enrollment in Illinois and served 28,118 students.[6]

Winnebago County underperformed compared to the rest of Illinois in terms of higher education achievement in 2013. The United States Census Bureau found that 21.2 percent of county residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree compared to 31.4 percent for Illinois as a whole.
