Tito S. Smith was a candidate for the Putnam County Court of Florida in 2012.[1]

2012 election

Smith was defeated by Joe Boatwright II in the general election on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 44.1% of the vote. He previously received 37.9% of the vote in the primary election on August 14, 2012.[2][3][1]

Education

Smith received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Florida in 1972 and 1975, respectively.[4]

Career

Smith was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1975. He began his career at the law firm of Dowda, Hedstrom and Fields and later became a partner at Hedstom and Smith. He also served as an Assistant Public Defender from 1977 to 1979. He is a partner and shareholder with Rogers Towers, P.A. He has also served as counsel for the Sheriff’s Department, Supervisor of Elections and Tax Collector’s Office of Putnam County.[4][5]
