Thurston County Fire Protection District No. 8, Washington, Proposition 1, Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services Tax Measure (August 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported levying a tax at an approximate rate of $52 per $100,000 of assessed value to fund fire protection and emergency medical services in the district.

A "no" vote opposed levying a tax at an approximate rate of $52 per $100,000 of assessed value to fund fire protection and emergency medical services in the district.

Olympia School District, Washington, Proposition 1, Property Tax for Education Funding Measure (February 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported authorizing the district to levy a property tax of $250 per $100,000 assessed value for education funding from 2025 through 2028.

A "no" vote opposed authorizing the district to levy a property tax of $250 per $100,000 assessed value for education funding from 2025 through 2028.

Thurston County, Washington, Proposition 1, 0.2% Sales Tax for Law Enforcement, Prosecution and Public Defense Services, and Elections Security Funding Measure (November 2023):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported allowing the county to levy an additional 0.2% sales and use tax and dedicate revenue to law enforcement, prosecution and public defense services, and elections security infrastructure.

A "no" vote opposed allowing the county to levy an additional 0.2% sales and use tax and dedicate revenue to law enforcement, prosecution and public defense services, and elections security infrastructure.


April 25

Olympia, Washington, Proposition 1, Formation of a Regional Fire Authority Measure (April 2023):  ✖

A "yes" vote supported forming the Olympia Tumwater Fire Authority and providing a plan for fire protection and emergency medical services, which would be funded by a property tax of $100 per $100,000 of assessed value and a six-year benefit charge not exceeding 60% of the Fire Authority's operating budget.

A "no" vote opposed forming the Olympia Tumwater Fire Authority.

Thurston County, Washington, Proposition 1, Change Size of Board of Commissions to Five Districts and Members Measure (November 2022):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported increasing the number of county board districts and commissioners from three to five.

A "no" vote opposed increasing the number of county board districts and commissioners from three to five.


April 26

Olympia, Washington, Proposition 1, Sales Tax (April 2022):  ✔

A “yes” vote supported authorizing an additional sales tax of 0.1% for seven years with revenue dedicated to community enrichment, thereby increasing the total sales tax rate in Olympia from 9.4% to 9.5%. 

A “no” vote opposed authorizing an additional sales tax of 0.1% for seven years with revenue dedicated to community enrichment, thereby leaving the total sales tax rate in Olympia at 9.4%.

Thurston County, Washington, Proposition 1, Property Tax Increase for Medic One Emergency Services (August 2021):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported

  • increasing the property tax from $0.289 (per $1,000 of assessed value) to $0.35 (per $1,000 of assessed value) in 2022,
  • setting a maximum property tax increase of 7% for the following five years (2023–2027),
  • providing a property tax exemption to seniors and veterans.

A "no" vote opposed increasing the property tax to $0.35 (per $1,000 of assessed value) and setting a maximum property tax increase of 7% for the following five years, thereby maintaining a tax rate of $0.289 (per $1,000 of assessed value).
