Thomas Anthony Adams is a justice for the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District in Nassau County, New York. He was elected to this position in 2011, effective early the following year. He was also appointed to the Court of Claims that year. Previously, he served as a Nassau County Supreme Court Justice from 1993 to 2006.[1][2]

In January 2013, Adams was named the District Administrative Judge for the 10th Judicial District of New York.[3]

Adams ran successfully for election on November 8 to the New York Supreme Court 10th Judicial District, where he previously served as an acting justice. He received 11.2% of the vote, securing one of the 10 positions on the ballot for the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District.[2][4]

Education

Adams received his J.D. degree from the New England School of Law in 1974.[1]

Career

Adams was elected to the Nassau County District Court in 1988. He was then promoted to the Supreme Court of Nassau County in 1993. He served in this position until 2006. Also, from 2001 to 2006, he was a justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Second Department. He was then appointed a Court of Claims judge and an acting justice of the Nassau County Supreme Court. He served in those position until he was elected Supreme Court Justice in 2011.[1]
