Todd Schlekeway is a former Republican member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 11 from 2011 to 2013. He also served in the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011.

Schlekeway worked as a staff member and campaign worker for former Congressman John Thune, as well as a graduate assistant in the social studies department of University of Sioux Falls. After working as a public affairs consultant he opened his own public affairs and communications firm, Full Court Strategies Group.

Shlekeway earned a B.A. in political science and History, a B.S. in Exercise Science, and a M.Ed. from the University of Sioux Falls. He and his wife Jill reside in Sioux Falls.[1]

Schlekeway ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota State Senate District 11. Schlekeway ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5. Tom Cool ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. Schlekeway withdrew prior to the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]

Schlekeway was eligible for re-election but instead sought the District 11 state senate seat. He defeated Tom Cool in the November 2 general election.
