Jeanette Ball is the superintendent of the Southwest Independent School District. Ball was appointed superintendent in February 2023. Ball's previous career experience includes serving as the superintendent of Judson Independent School District and as a teacher in the Southwest ISD.[1]

Past superintendents

  • Lloyd Verstuyft was the superintendent of the Southwest Independent School District until February 2023. Verstuyft's previous career experience includes working in the district as a principal, executive director of administration and pupil service, and assistant superintendent for administration and human resources.[2][1]

The Southwest Independent School District board of trustees consists of seven members elected to three-year terms. All board members are elected at large.[3]
