Campaign themes
2014
Crouch's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[1]
Taxes
- Excerpt: "The Liberal proposed Margins Tax will kill many small businesses and drive other businesses away from Nevada stopping economic growth. Whether it's an increase in property taxes, the margins tax, an increase in sales taxes, or new fines and fees when taxes are not appropriate, the Liberals address every funding shortfall as a reason to increase taxes rather than address the underlying issue being the growth of big government. Rex fully supports protecting taxpayers from additional taxation and pledged it."
Obamacare In Nevada
- Excerpt: "We can stop ObamaCare in Nevada with good leadership and a referendum on NRS 695i."
Illegal Immigration
- Excerpt: "Liberal supported illegal immigration results in human trafficking and human exploitation. Illegal immigration prevents legal immigrants, our youth, and our vulnerable populations, and even our seniors from entering the workforce. Giving illegals IDs is a Liberal endorsement to violate federal immigration laws and undermines our Nation's security. Rex supports the implementation of E-Verify in all businesses with five or more employees and E-Verify spot checks on construction and landscaping projects."
Education
- Excerpt: "We need to stop the Liberal led Common Core education and reintroduce American Values of Individual Responsibility, Self-Respect, and Respect for Others into our education system."
Water Rights
- Excerpt: "Drought or not, the Las Vegas area has exceeded what is socially and environmentally sustainable. Rex has formed "Nevada Common Sense." An organization intended to educate the populace on what is being done with their water, and provide venues and action ideas for citizen involvement before it's too late."
