Robert S. Spear was a judge for the Small Claims Court of Perry Township.[1] Spear served on the court for 11 years.[2] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3] Spear did not seek re-election and retired following the end of his term in 2018.[4]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He defeated Amanda R. Whipple in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 65.4 percent of the vote.[3][5]

Spear was re-elected to the Small Claims Court of Perry Township in 2010. He received 6,544 of the votes.[6]

Education

Spear earned his B.A. from Wabash College in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1972.[2]

Career

In addition to serving as judge for the Perry Township Small Claims Court, Spear was also an attorney in private practice. In the past he served as an Indiana deputy attorney general.[2] His prior experience also included working as a Republican session counsel for the Indiana House of Representatives.[2]
