The Oregon Hospital Minimum Charity Care Initiative did not make the November 4, 2014 ballot as an initiated state statute. The measure would have required certain hospitals to provide charity care equaling at least five percent of their net patient revenues.[1]
Support
Scarlet Allen and Meg Niemi were the chief petitioners for the measure.[1]

The measure was submitted to the Oregon Secretary of State on January 3, 2014. The chief petitioners withdrew it on February 20, 2014. If the measure had gone forward, supporters would have been required to collect a minimum of 87,213 valid signatures by July 3, 2014 to place the measure on the ballot.[1]
