The question on the ballot:
Shall the following described property located in the City of Newaygo be detached and jurisdiction transferred to Garfield Township:
678.84 acres, most of which is located immediately to the northwest of the Muskegon River and the center of downtown Newaygo including all or parts of the plats of Pike’s Addition to the Village of Newaygo, Wood’s Addition to the Village of Newaygo and River Hills Estates and all of Government Lots 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9, the latter two being located south of the Muskegon River, as generally depicted on the map in the polling station and as specifically described in the following legal description?[3] |
