Cheokas (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 151. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Following the 2010 election, Cheokas switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. He stated, "My fiscally conservative voting record reflects that effort and the views of my constituents, which ultimately led me to join the House Republican Caucus."[1]

The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Kevin T. Brown was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent M.A. "Mike" Cheokas was unopposed in the Republican primary. Brown was defeated by Cheokas in the general election.[7][8][9]

Cheokas ran for re-election to the 134th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary and no one ran against him in the general election on November 2, 2010.[12]
