Michael Kelley (Democratic Party) is a judge of the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County in California. He assumed office in 2023.
Kelley won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California outright in the primary on March 3, 2020, after the primary and general election were canceled.
He was appointed to the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County, California in July 2023 by Governor Gavin Newsom (D).[1]
Kelley is a member of the Democratic Party.[2]
Education
Kelley received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California in 1976. He earned his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1979.[2]
Career
Kelley worked as an associate and then a partner at the law firm Kadison, Pfaelzer, Woodard, Quinn, and Rossi. In 1987, he joined Sidley Austin LLP as a partner. He was a member of the Executive Committee at Sidley Austin from 2006 to 2016.[2]
