An effort to recall Councilman Mallory Parsons in Coushatta, Louisiana from his position was launched in 2014. Supporters did not gather enough signatures to move the recall forward.[1]

Petitioners needed to collect 497 signatures to move the recall effort forward. Although 581 signatures were collected, the town registrar threw out 60 for not being registered to vote in the area and 89 for being invalid, leaving only 432 valid signatures. As a result, the recall did not go to a vote.[1]
