Matthea Daughtry (Democratic Party) (also known as Mattie) is a member of the Maine State Senate, representing District 23. She assumed office on December 6, 2022. Her current term ends on December 1, 2026.
Daughtry (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maine State Senate to represent District 23. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Matthea Daughtry was born and lives in Brunswick, Maine. Daughtry graduated from Brunswick High School. She earned a degree from Smith College.[1][2][3] Daughtry's career experience incudes owning a photography and video company, co-owning Moderation Brewing Company, founding the news department at WOZQ 91.9 FM, and working as a curator for VSA Arts of Maine.[2][3]

Daughtry won election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 66. Daughtry replaced the winner of the Democratic primary, Alexander Cornell du Houx, who withdrew after the primary election. She defeated Grant Connors (R) and K. Frederick Horch (G) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[12]
