Marlon Amprey (Democratic Party) is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 40. He assumed office on January 13, 2021. His current term ends on January 13, 2027.
Amprey (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maryland House of Delegates to represent District 40. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
On December 29, 2020, the Baltimore City Democratic State Central Committee nominated Amprey to the Maryland House of Delegates to fill the seat left vacant by Nick Mosby's (D) resignation.[1] Gov. Larry Hogan (R) approved the nomination and formally appointed Amprey to the seat on January 6, 2021.[2]
Biography
Marlon Amprey earned a B.A. in American government and politics from the University of Maryland at College Park, an M.Ed. in elementary instruction and curriculum from George Mason University, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Amprey's career experience includes working as an attorney and teacher.[3]
