Biography

Mark Metcalf was born in Lancaster, Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1992 to 2020. He earned a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1980 and 1985, respectively. His career experience includes working as a prosecutor. Metcalf has been affiliated with Veterans of Foreign Wars and the University of Kentucky Alumni Association.

I am a Kentucky prosecutor and a retired Soldier. I am a conservative Republican and a pro-life and a pro-Second Amendment candidate. I believe in American exceptionalism and will do my utmost to assure American's place in the world and in history.

• I am running for Kentucky State Treasurer to protect Kentucky's revenues and pension funds from being stolen by woke corporations.
• I am funning for Kentucky State Treasurer return over $800 million to the rightful owners.
• I am running for Kentucky State Treasurer fix the pension problem and assure every County in Kentucky has up to date computer software and hardware to service their systems.

Working on the family farm. I worked on the family farm until I was 39 years old.

I am a believer in American exceptionalism. My overall objective is to do my part to ensure the ultimate triumph of the United States as a leader of the Free World.

• I will work to make Kentucky fiscally sound and its pension funds sufficient to meet challenges of today and the future.
• Assuring the cybersecurity of all of Kentucky's accounts and databases.

The success of the United States against all threats and competitors.

What legacy would you like to leave?

That I left the world a better place.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Working as a farm hand. When I was 6 years old until my 50's, my brothers and I worked tobacco, cattle, and hay on farms owned by family members. This experience is singular in my life. It taught me how tough it is to make a dollar and how hard it is to save one. I learned how hard people have to work to make a living when they wring their earnings from the ground and must depend on unpredictable rain and sun aid their efforts.Every other job I've ever worked (sacking groceries, waiting tables, lifeguarding, delivering newspapers) was easy by comparison.

The Bible, The Federalist Papers, The March of Folly, and The Battle of Midway

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Getting all the work done.
