The city of Toledo, Ohio, held elections for mayor and six at-large seats on the city council on November 7, 2017. Incumbents Cecelia Adams, Rob Ludeman, Sandy Spang, and Larry Sykes won re-election, while challengers Nick Komives and Gary Johnson won seats on the council. A primary election took place on September 12, 2017. The top 12 vote recipients in the council primary advanced to the general election. Challenger Thomas Names was the only candidate out of the 13 candidates on the primary ballot who did not advance to the general election. Steven Steel was unable to run for re-election due to term limits. Democrats maintained a majority on the council following the election. The filing deadline for this election was July 14, 2017. The Lucas County Board of Elections certified petitions for these offices during a meeting on July 18, 2017.[1][2] Toledo's municipal elections are nonpartisan, but partisan identifications are listed based on party endorsements and other public information.

Toledo's city council elections shared the ballot with races for mayor and three seats on the Toledo Public Schools Board of Education.
