The Montana Establish Legal Drinking Age Amendment, also known as C-15, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure removed the existing legal age of nineteen years to consume and possess alcohol and allowed the legal drinking age to be determined by the people or the legislature. The measure also clarified that the age applied to the purchase of alcohol in addition to the possession and consumption of alcohol.[1][2]
