Montana Criminal Law Basis, C-33 (1998)

The Montana Criminal Law Basis Amendment, also known as C-33, was on the November 3, 1998 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided that criminal laws be based on principles of public safety, restitution for victims, prevention and reformation rather than only on prevention and reformation.[1][2]
