Giving back to the community has always been a strong family value that my parents instilled in their children. "To whom much is given, much is expected" is the mantra that I heard countless times growing up. I worked in my father's law firm throughout high school, college and beyond. We offered legal services to many people in need. My dad and our family were very trusted members of the community and I learned so much about people in the 15 years working for him. When my dad was killed tragically in 2005, the community rallied behind my family in such a beautiful way. I didn't truly know how big of an impact my dad and our family had on the community until that tragic time. I made a promise to my dad to continue his passion for supporting the community and helping people.

For the last 10 years, I worked for a law firm that supported rural communities in need. I spent those years traveling across the country and listening to people and families and learning about them and hearing their stories. Whether I was speaking to a dairy farmer in the middle of Pennsylvania or a rancher in South Texas, I genuinely about what they had to say and I listened.

Now it's time to bring my skills and my strengths to my own community.
